DANCE

Born and raised in the heart of Nashville, Bria Evans has had a passion for dancing since she was able to walk. She first began her dance training at Cathy’s Dance Studio, where she gained her jazz, ballet, and theatrical dance foundation. Simultaneously, as she was training, she began performing in her community and family church in plays, weddings, outreach events, and the like. It was in the church where Bria found her passion and cultivated her personal movement style.

She went on to The University of Tennessee at Martin, where she earned her BFA in DanceEducation, as well as her BA in Interdisciplinary Studies. Shortly after returning to Nashville, she began training under the mentorship of Zach and Dorinda Walker. Under their guidance and leadership, Bria booked music videos, performed in live shows, including the Black Music Honors and the Dove Awards. In 2018, she was accepted to the Debbie Allen Dance Academy Summer Intensive where she studied under a plethora of talent including Karen McDonald, Eartha Robinson, George Faison, and Mrs. Debbie Allen.

Bria now serves as the dance teacher at Isaiah T. Creswell Middle Magnet School of the Visual and Performing Arts, in Nashville, where she is committed to passing on all of the knowledge and passion that she has for dance to her students.
