Parent, Student, and Staff Compact

Parent/Guardian Commitment

I want my child to reach his/her academic potential. Therefore, I will commit to doing the following:

  • See that my child attends school regularly and arrives on time.
  • Ask my child about schoolwork and activities every day.
  • Provide a place for homework and check to see that all work is completed.
  • Read to my child or have my child read every day.
  • Show respect through my words and actions toward my child, others, teachers, and the school.
  • Communicate with the school about any changes in address and phone numbers.
  • Provide input to faculty and staff regarding my child’s learning.
  • Volunteer in my child’s classroom/school and/or serve on committees.
  • Sign and return all written communication such as progress reports and report cards.
  • Ensure the laptop is regularly checked and operational at home. If not, notify the school to avoid missing instruction/assignments.

Student Commitment

I want to reach my full academic potential, while growing socially and emotionally. Therefore, I will commit to doing the following:

  • Be responsible for my actions and behavior each day.
  • Listen, do my work and learn.
  • Respect the feelings, rights and properties of others.
  • Be a good citizen by doing what is right thing to do for myself and others.
  • Come to class on time and prepared with all items needed for class.
  • Complete all assignments on time and to the best of my ability
  • Spend time daily studying and reading at home.
  • Take home and return progress reports, report cards and other important papers for parents/guardians to sign.
  • Bring my laptop to school fully charged daily.
  • Put phone and smart watch in Yondr Pouch Daily.
  • My laptop will be treated with respect. I will report any damage or malfunction for a replacement and understand that consequences may apply if it is broken or lost.

Creswell Faculty and Staff Commitment

We want our students to reach their full academic potential. Therefore, we will commit to doing the following:

  • Provide high-quality curriculum and instruction in a supportive, equitable and effective learning environment that enables students to meet Tennessee’s student academic achievement standards.
  • Schedule annual parent-teacher conferences to discuss academic and behavioral successes and concerns.
  • Communicate with parents regularly about their child’s progress via email, phone call, Remind, assessment reports, progress reports and report cards.
  • Provide parents with reasonable access to staff including parent requested meetings at an agreed upon time, regular communication via email, and having multiple staff members available at school events and meetings.
  • Each semester the school will provide families with a list of opportunities to volunteer and participate in the school and classrooms.
